Conversion of planned order to process order from APO or ECC

Hi,

Could you please let me know whether we have some configuration settings for

1) Conversion of planned order to process order in APO (apart from conversion indicator set in product view)

2) How we can restrict the conversion of planned order to process order in APO eventhough the conversion indicator is it?

I want the planned order to flow to ECC and get converted there and not from APO.

Thanks,

Prash

Hi Prashant!

You can also trigger the conversion of orders from /SAPAPO/RRP7. That is the mass maintenance transaction for Order Conversion.

SAP recommends you to trigger the conversion from APO. Is there a reason for you to not use this option?

Best regards,

Will

Hi Prashant,

Did you tried using opening period in product master data(PPDS Tab) in APO ? this is the time period you can control the planned orders getting converted into process orders.

Hi Prashant,

1.) You must have an appropriate PPDS PPM/PDS setup for this conversion to take place. In R3 Prod sch profile must be maintained in material master & ofcourse planned order & prod order CIF integration model must be active for said prod/locations.

2.) I am not sure if there is some functionality to stop this but you may want to try the below tweaks... ( a.) remove conv indicator column from layout settings in product view and save the new layout as default. Remove auth from all user roles to change layout settings. ( b.)

You can define the corresponding authorizations in the role maintenance, using the authorization object for the location product

You can define the corresponding authorizations in the role maintenance, using the authorization object for the location product APO: PP/DS, Location product (C_APO_MALO) and the authorization field Functions in PP/DS (APO_PPFUNC). You can issue authorizations for overriding the standard checks by specifying the following values for the functions in PP/DS:

ATP Check SAP_CNV_AT

Requirements Check SAP_CNV_MA

As default, SAP delivers the PP/DS roles with authorization for overriding the checks (authorization value *).

(b.) taken from SAP help.

Let me know if this helps.

Vinay

1.From R/3 side you need to have production schdule profile assigned to the material master otherwise you will not be able to convert planned order to process order.Because  order type assigned to  production schduleing profile.

2.Its better you  convert  planne orders to process order in ECC.You just send planned orders to ECC.
