Hello everyone,
I've been trying to modify the way a list of documents is displayed in a browser. But to me it seems that there is now way to format a list of documents in BEx Web Application Designer.
I'm looking for a way to set gridlines or modify the position of text in a cell.
Is there any way to do so?
Best regards
Sebastian Röhl
Hi,
You have to write your own HTML code to enhance the "List of Documents" web item in WAD. You may take any Web developer's help for the new lines of code.

Hi Yasemin,
I'll try to be a bit more precise. I have to use the web item 'List of Documents' in order to display Info Objects that are stored in our BW-system. That works fine but I don't like the look of the 'List of Documents' when I execute my Web Template in a browser. As I couldn't find any means to adjust the look within WAD and my resarch also did not return any valuable results I decided to ask people with much more experience than I have.
I'm not using a table as (as far as I know) there is no option to import info objects.
Hi Suman,
thanks for your hint. I was expecting that this might lead to needing help from Web developers. Just to understand you correctly: Am I able to use the web item itself and insert additional HTML formating code or would the whole item have to be custom coded?
Thanks to both of you!
Regards,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,
I have done such kind of format changes for analysis item using Internal Display modification properties. But as far as I can see this option does not exist for list of documents. In the link below it mentions that can be done via badI. Hope that gives an idea.

Hi Sebastian,
Will you please make it a bit more clear. You can add a table and change its format in Bex or the position of text as html code. What exactly are you trying to achieve and which version are you using?
Then we may help with that.
