Forcing an employee to inherit a new cost center

I need to force my employees with already existing cost centers to inherit new cost centers when i re- assign them to a new department.

Hi Bryan

I would maintain the change in the Org Structure, with effect from the new cost centre validity date (cost centre either assigned at Org Unit inherited to all Positions or at Position level individually if the change does not apply to all).

To ensure the new cost centre change is valid in PA master data only from the expected date, also run Personnel Actions to record the Org Reassignment/Change from the effective date via PA40.

you can maintain the cost distribution using PP01 or maintain cost center in Account assignment in PPOME for the org unit or position

Hi,

Maintain 'Cost distribution' infotype for the org unit or position with correct validity start date. Perform relevant action to assign new department or use 'Execute infogroup' in PA40
