SAP NW7.3 ehp1 AS Java Post Installation Activities

Hi,

We have installed SAP NW7.3 Ehp1 ( AS Java ) on HP-UX / Sybase.

What are the post installation activities required.

Our intention is just run Java applications on NW 7.3 Platform.

Hello Sivarajesh,

It is always best practice to refer installation guides for required post installation steps.

Since you just want to use Java engine for running applications, you can leave it as it as after installing license.

Hi Sivarajesh,

If you only want to use it to run java application on, it would be sufficient to only execute the post processing for the SLD setup.

In case you are also going to develop your own applications, you have to do the NWDI post processing as well.

Hi Varaprasad,

You just go to the NetWeaver Administrator (url prefix /nwa) -> Configuration -> Scenarios -> Configuration Wizard -> Functional Unit Configuration UI

Here you will see the option System Landscape Directory. Select this option and choose "Enable Automatically".
