Exclude prod Sloc from MRP, still consume stock during MFBF

Hello Experts,

We have 2 Storage Locations REC1 and PRD1, currently MRP is running considering stock in both the storage locations.

The Logistics requirement is:

1.       PRD1 storage location is to be excluded from MRP and stock from PRD1 Storage location should not be considered when running the MRP.

2.       Consumption of the stock should only happen from PRD1 storage location (backflush should happen in PRD1 Sloc.)

For example:

Total Stock Plant: 1000 pcs

PRD1: 300 pcs

REC1:700 pcs

When we run MRP the planning has to be carried only considering 700 pcs in stock and schedule lines should be generated.

When declaring Production (T.Code: MFBF) the stock should be consumed out of 300 pcs.

Is there any possibility to avoid the stock only (But need to consider demand / requirements) at PRD1 storage location while performing MRP at plant level?

Have anyone customized a solution like this before?

Thanks for your Assistance.

Ayub

Hi Ayub,

Removing the storage location PRD1 from MRP may cause inconsistency in planning as the reservations created for your production orders will trigger extra (false) requirements. If you can brief your requirement further on my you want to exclude the PRD1 location will help to suggest a better option.

Hi

For excluding the SLoc stock from MRP run , you need to select the MRP indicator 1 in T code OMIR in combination to Plant and Sloc. Then you need to select againg MRP indicator 1 in MMSC for material and Plant combination.

Also it doesnt mean that  while doing MFBF system will not allow to do GI from exculded storage location. You need to use BAdi RM_BFLUSH_GOODSMVT for your requirement.

Check and revert

Hi Ayub

You can do this with T-code OMIR settings, here we can have the option to exclude the storage location during MRP Run

And if you want to consume stock from  PRD1 storage location, you can go to CS02 and in item details give  for each item give PRoduction storage location as  PRD1

Then during Backflushing it will suggest PRD1 location only

Dear Ayub,

You can maintain the Exclude Storage location location feature during MRP Run as said by Mr.Anupam.

During MFBF for GI, you can restrict the stock from PRD1 in MM-->MRP view---> Prd Sloc.

GI will happen from this location. This has got the highest priority than Stock determination Rule.

Anupam ji: Correct me if wrong.. (since you mentioned for BAdi)

Hi Subrahmanyam,

Making those setting will propose the sloc as default while doing MFBF but, the same can be changed at the time og MFBF choosing from drop down as material is already extended to that sloc and backflush can be done.In order to restrict the user to do GI from one sloc, you need to implement BAdi.
