BI4.0: Maximum retries for File Access

Hi,

Please let me know what is polling interval if we set the value greater than 1 for "Maximum retries for File Access" in the in the FRS property.

Dear Ravi,

After doing some investigations, I found the following:

1/Property;- "Maximum retries for file access" on Input file repository server basically defines number of tries the server will make inorder to retrive report template from filestore.

2/By default the value is set to 1.

3/It means the IFRS will try to access the filestore once and give up if due to some reason its not able to access that location and give you an error.

4/There is no such limit to which the value can be set as it's mere a physical access parameter and you are only defining the number attempts to be made.

5/Setting the value to a conisderably high number can cause some delay in giving you the error message as it will keep on trying that many times to access the filestore.

6/Also the process will remain for that much amount of time and consume CPU.

7/ So I would suggest you to increase the value almost to 2.
