How to upgrade SAP 730 to SAP 731

Hi All,

I am trying to upgrade SAP 730 to SAP 731. I have downloaded the installers for EPH 1 for SAP 730. The folder structure what gets created after running the exe files downloaded from the SAP service marketplace are following.

Packages are -

1) 51042123

2) 51043228_ABAP_INST_EXP

3) 51043228_ABAP_UPGR_EXP

4) 51043228_JAVA

5) 51043228_LANGUAGE

6) 51044827

I am trying to upgrade SAP 730 for windows, with Microsoft SQL server as backend.

After extracting the packages , I am not getting any package which contains the file similar to SAPInst . for complete installation or upgradation of SAP 730 system.

Please point out the correct folder which i am missing , which might be containing the SAPinst file.

That is expected. You upgrade the instance using SUM, not SAPINST. Follow the SUM guide. You should use Solution Manager's MOPZ to generate the stack XML and to have the right files downloaded. SUM will automatically be included. See the attached links on how to proceed.
