We are currently implementing SAP BI 7.3 and we are using standard frontend BEx Analyser and Designer. can we use SAP crystal report as front end tool on top of BI and what are the possible options for this ?
Thank you for the response. Basically we are looking for some rich format of report with some kind of dashboads, currently we dont have BO in our scope so are looking for the some kind of alternative with minimal rich functionality like report formats & Dashboards etc.
please let me know if you have any recommendations on versions available which will best fit.

What is the version of Crystal reports you have . 2008 or 2011?.
Both have similar functionality of connecting to SAP datasources.. 2008 needs SAP integration Kit installed separately to connect SAP sources whereas 2011 comes within it.
There are not much difference between CR 2008 and 2011.. Only feature in 2011 is , you don't need SAP Integration kit. Transports are integrated within the software with the installation.
