[Status Update]This is soooo 1 day ago!

Apparently on SCN there is "1 day ago" between yesterday and today:

Mind sufficiently blown.

Or as my youngest daughter used to say when she was a toddler, "the day after the other day" when referring to something anywhere within her recent memory, and at that age the occurance could have been hours, days, or weeks old.

I'll think about this tomorrow :)

Makes me think of this famous quote - "After all, tomorrow is another day" Gone with the Wind

Hmmmm. But Tomorrow never comes.....

Today was yesterday's tomorrow
Today will be tomorrow's yesterday
Yesterday's today was yesterday
Tomorrow's today is tomorrow
Yesterday's day after tomorrow is tomorrow
Tomorrow's day before yesterday was yesterday
The day before yesterday's tomorrow was yesterday
The day after tomorrow's yesterday is tomorrow
The day before yesterday's day after tomorrow
And the day after tomorrow's day before yesterday
Are both today
The day after tomorrow's tomorrow
And the day before yesterday's yesterday
Are both too far away
Todays turn into yesterdays
Tomorrow never comes
I think my tomorrow is today
Or maybe it was yesterday

Logic Checks out. But yes, now I need coffee.

I hope your cup of java is from today and not yesterday ;)

It would be more potent if you had yesterday's today.

Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay...

Hmm...reminds me of a suggestion that came up in Idea Place -- asking that we get rid of yesterday, 1 day ago, 1 week ago, etc., and just provide the date:

Let me follow up. There may be a reason for not providing the date. Even so, showing both "yesterday" and "1 day ago" is odd.

you can also change the status, delivered is not the correct status

I believe it was changed to "delivered" because after some update we can see the timestamp if we hover the mouse over "yesterday". Of course, I've only remembered about this when I saw this idea. I've already raised a question about "yesterday" here and found that it really means "more than 24 hours ago". Seeing both "yesterday" and "a day ago" is just weird.

Well, this is just one of those things that worked fine on SCN and didn't need any fixing or enhancing but nooo, someone had to mess up with it and now we got something that just causes confusion.

It seems that this bug (yesterday vs 1 day ago) occurs with when you expand comments via show more comments function.
A band-aid fix to replace the duplicate term would not be needed, if we finally get rid of the artificial answers/comments distinction and switch to flat chronological view. I know - 'designers' and 'developers' have families to feed, too, but at some point it makes sense to start cutting your losses.
