Ways to contribute to GOSAP.com

Hi,

In old SCN there was an URL link to create SAP Article.

Is that no more there ?

Now can we create only blog posts and no more articles ?

Can someone point me to how things work in new GOSAP.com.

I am not sure how to check each SAP section - where we post and reply to threads.

Regards,

Nisha Vengal.

Offcourse you can. If you click on you profile picture, you can see the option for "Write blog". Also the same option you can see at "+Action" button

No every discussion is based on tags, so you can find the question and blog if you follow the tags. Under your profile you have a option to get notification and keep track of whats going on in you desired technology space under "Followed Activities".

I believe you need to ask this as a question using tag "Using SAP.com". It's the first time I hear about any "article" link in old SCN. We could post discussions, documents and blogs. Now there are no more documents, just blogs, questions and discussions (have not seen them outside of the Coffee Corner). No more documents.

Also I'd think that only SAP employees would be allowed to contribute to such website and your profile does not have the SAP trapezoid.

Hi Jelena,

Thanks for the info !
There were documents which opened as PDF, and articles which were published in Web Page directly.

Even non-SAP employees were allowed to contribute.

I don't see an option now to add Tag, probably it was there when I initially posted this question.

Thanks,

Nisha Vengal.

Hello Nisha,

you can't select tags for discussions, because those only live in the coffee corner and have the tag "Coffee corner" automatically assigned to them. So you can't change a discussion to a question and need to create a new question.

Those pages, that opened as PDF document, I really only remember them as being "SAP employee" only content. They had to contact someone in the company to be able to do this etc.

.

Steffi.

That's my recollection too. PDFs were marked as "employee only". I'm not sure if your profile was given the same permission somehow. This was not an option for me on SCN.

Again - open a question with the right tag and maybe someone from SCN team can clarify.

Hi Jelena and Steffi,

Thanks for the reply.

As far as I understood, documents like this could be created by Non-SAP employees too.

That one is from the old SDN, I have not seen such documents after it was migrated to SCN around 2012.

Hi Jelena,

I had bookmarked few blogs and pages to my SCN profile (not my browser).

Will that be accessible now somewhere ?

Thanks,

No bookmark feature is currently available and your old bookmarks are gone, sorry.

Have you read the blog by Jerry explaining the changes?
