[Status Update] What did I miss?

Hi, everybody:

I've been away about a week and a half (working at SAP TechEd Bangalore, then taking a mini-vacation after my return).

I'm sure you noticed my absence.

Er...

Maybe not.

Anyhoo, I'll be going through the Coffee Corner posts, checking out anything tagged Using SAP.com, and searching out other items that might still require attention. In short, I'll try to catch up on anything published while I was away that I should respond to (or bring to someone else's attention).

In the meantime, if something hot/pressing came up this week or last, please feel free to draw my attention to it in the comments.

Thanks!

More button bug is still not fixed:

https://answers.sap.com/questions/341533/bug-qa-more-button-shows-just-old-question.html

Absolutely strange why it's not treated as high priority!

First reported on Oct 13!!!

Hi, Vadim:

I'll look into it to see where we are...

Best regards,

Now the bug with "More" button for standard URL is fixed! But the same bug for URL ending with "#" - not fixed (you will have URL with "#" at the end if you click on your avatar picture). Unable to understand this level of bug fixing.

P.S. @And few days ago I asked David Cockrell about the issue with "#" URL's - no reaction!

Still no changes for the bug with URL ending with "#"

Well, that dude's picture is still on the home page since Vegas. The "Top Liked" blogs appeared on the home page. But it replaced the ABAP blogs (quite a "top liked" category IMHO), so nothing much... Yawn...

Hi, Jelena:

My colleague Catherine LaCroix responded to these comments/concerns in https://answers.sap.com/articles/341568/when-did-we-get-most-liked-blogs.html.

As for the dude in the photo...I recently learned that he'll be in Barcelona. While I'm there, I'll make sure to let him know that he's a celebrity now -- the official face of SAP TechEd in SAP Community.

Well, the reply was posted as a comment in the main discussion and I did not get notified of it. So add that to the list of "things that still don't work". :)

Hi Jelena,

The hero will revert back to the smaller image after TechEd Barcelona.

We're trying to track how well the live streaming and replays are doing from the homepage. Thus, leaving it as is until after Barcelona will help us see how well it's doing.

Thanks,

Catherine

Another bug is still present: in the user profile list of answers the answer status ("accepted" - true/false) is not updating correctly. As a result if you sum accepted and not accepted answers count it will be not equal to total answers:

https://blogs.sap.com/2017/10/10/content-filtering-and-sorting-now-available-on-your-profile/

https://answers.sap.com/questions/331142/bug-accepted-status-for-answers-is-not-updated-in.html

P.S. The bug is present since at least Oct 12 (found by Veselina)

Hi, Vadim:

Sorry still just getting caught up on things.

For these two, reading through the threads (one of which was closed by you), I saw a variety of comments from Gabi on October 13 and beyond (past October 12). So I was under the impression from the conversations that everything was solved? Granted, they both cover a lot of ground, so it's possible I'm confused about the remaining issue? (Veselina Peykova , I hope you don't mind me mentioning you, but if there is a problem here we've overlooked, could you please let me know so I can alert Gabi?)

Best regards,

Not solved! Even in your profile:

87 total answered - not equal to sum of accepted: 30 and not accepted: 56 = 86

In my case the difference is more then 100 answers.

What was reported as solved is the sorting of content by likes (discovered by Jeremy Good ).

I have not spend much time testing the site features and reporting bugs lately.

Not fixed today!

Today it looks better, but still not fixed completely:

In my profile:

Total answers: 1731

Accepted: 395 Not Accepted: 1331 Total: 1726

Difference: 5

The difference is increasing:

Total answers: 1761

Accepted: 403 Not Accepted: 1328 Total: 1731

Difference: 30

Hi, Jeremy:

I saw some features and fixes that were scheduled for release yesterday. So maybe we're just a little behind on updating the wiki page.

Anyway, I'm trying to confirm whether anything has been rolled out this week.

(BTW, none of those fixes relates specifically to Vadim Kalinin 's issue...as far as I know. I'm trying to get more info about that through a separate source.)

P.S. Next time you're in the office, let me know if you want to grab a bite. I know of this great place... (I dunno why that line always makes me laugh so hard. But it does.)

Viking food - that would be a first for me ;)

By the way, the bug with "More" and URL ending with "#" was first reported on May 30 2017 by Veselina Peykova :

https://answers.sap.com/questions/211507/index.html

I have reported the same on Jun 16 2017:

https://answers.sap.com/questions/225967/bug-show-more-on-the-tag-page-result-is-repeating.html

I see that David Cockrell had responded here

https://answers.sap.com/questions/346249/show-more-button-problem.html and that you notified him that this specific issue has not been resolved. I'll follow up with him.

Hi, Jeremy:
Updated:

https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/WHP/SAP+Community+Release+Notes

Just an oversight. Things did happen this week, but the page wasn't changed to reflect the releases.
