After some discussion at Las Vegas TechEd, I decided it was time to get back on my virtual soap box and talk about things I've learned, opinions I have (technical, find me on FaceBook for additional topics) There have been a few reasons for this from not having enough time (consulting and family life take up a bit of time) to occasional frustration with the new community to not a lot of action in my main space (Identity Management)
Writing my latest blog reminded me about how much fun it can be. I'm kind of reminded by the 2nd episode of this Season's Big Bang Theory where they realize the enjoyment of the task is what makes it worthwhile. So I'm going to focus on that for a while. Most of my blogs are really somewhat decently written up knowledge base articles so I can remember how I did something, or some cool thing I learned in relation to my space. I've been so caught up in everything else that I forgot how much fun it is not only to learn, but to share.
Well, I'm just going to see how much fun I can have with that. I hope other people will enjoy the ride.
Cheers,
Matt
I read your post and really enjoyed it. Great title, indeed: What’s between the earth and the cloud?
While familiar with the hybrid approach, I wasn't aware of the options SAP IDM offer for integration and connections.
I'm glad the knowledge sharing bug is bugging you:)
Thanks Caroleigh,
Something I need to get better with is learning about other parts of SAP, so hopefully I'll see more interesting posts as well. I wonder is there an RSS feed of new Blog Content? This way I could track it via Outlook or my home page.

Matt, you're supposed to pimp up your blog in such status updates! :) At least post a link. Here, fixed it for you: https://blogs.sap.com/2017/10/04/whats-between-the-earth-and-the-cloud/
And don't forget to promote it on other social media. These days it takes a major PR campaign to get any views on an SCN blog.
Thanks Jelena,
I routinely advertise on G+, LinkedIn, Twitter, and FaceBook when I blog. I didn't know if it was appropriate to advertise here. I figured if someone was interested they could find us easily enough. I've got no problem doing what I can to boost my readership!

Matt Pollicove this place is where interim status updates reside so it makes perfect sense to create a [status update] post
