[Status Update] Could be better, could be worse

The good: thanks to the time I spent playing in BETA, I have some idea how to navigate and look for content and even filter by tag in find.sap.com.

The bad: I am just as helpless as everybody else locating the relevant content (displaying content by tag turned out to be worse than I expected). Have a look at this post:

https://blogs.sap.com/2016/05/17/learn-with-us-s4-hana-analytics/

How is this even acceptable to be tagged as SD?

OK... my initial expectations were low and I kind of knew that this would happen...

Weeeeell, if I look at the tags that are on that blog posts, I no longer wonder, that SD is one of them. I mean, look at that mess!

I don't think this is a migration issue, because I've seen users going overboard when tagging their content.

Look at all those tags! And some of them are *really* not appropriate. I guess people didn't really care too much about tags on the old SCN because they didn't do much. That blog is worthy of an "Alert moderator" surely? Or would that be you anyway:-)

This blog is not an exception, there are many like this one...

I already feel bad about our moderators - they are probably busy with lots of other issues.

I can start alerting on SD-tagged content, which I can understand (English, Russian, I can try also German), but I really hope that some active members from the old non-English speaking spaces will also help to clear this mess.

The sad part is that nearly all blog content I see tagged with SAP SD now needs to be reported for wrong tags (I have no idea if the alerts on blogs even work now and which ones I have alerted on already). I appreciate the effort of the people who created this content and it is probably not even their fault. I think that having your blogs reported for incorrect tags after migration should not be considered as 'bad behavior', but probably a grace period of 3 weeks will be reasonable for most people to have a chance to review and re-tag their blogs.

What do you think? Shall I pause on creating alerts for now and do that a month later?

Maybe the moderators will be even happier about a month long pause than the OPs. ;)

Well, I'm happy I did NOT spend any time in beta this time...

I'm still debating on "could be worse" part... Last time we could barely log in, so I guess by that measure the fact that I can post a comment is a success.

But it's slow AF. Opening a message flashed several "redirecting" messages and different URLs before it got there whole 10 seconds later. I am lost and that comment "weeee!" thing is making me dizzy. I need to lie down for a while...

"that comment "weeee!" thing is making me dizzy"

The what?

Hmmm... I think Jelena may have mis-read your "well" (extended "weeeeeeeelllll") remark as "weeeeeee" like on a roller coaster. ;-)

Oh. That makes sense. ^^
