[Status Update] Read the comments, no the Blog

I didn't read the blog, but I read the comments, and found it nice to see that a respectful and non-violent discussion is going on there, even when people disagree:

Strange, after reading the comments I have a different impression, but this could be attributed to the cultural differences one hears about.

The best part of the blog is in the comments, indeed (in my opinion - for a different reason).

i have to agree with Veselina: it seems a really tense and hard discussion, where a couple of moments the respect has gone out to take a coffee.

Again, Paul's comment is the best part of that blog, explaining the focal point the author seems to miss.

Oh dear, I had no idea there was some kind of continued conversation there. OP did not reply to my last comment, so I didn't get a notification. Oh, the beauty of New SCN! Ignorance is a bliss.

Paul said it best anyway and I'll let the number of likes speak for themselves.

I think I'll just stop reading the SCN blogs altogether, unless they are written by an author I know. Wish there was a filter for that.

Yeah, Jelena! What is this, why are you against change and making stuff easier? Afraid to learn something new? Afraid to loose your job? ;)

Be open to the simple stuff! Simple is the future!!

Paul wrote a lot of great arguments, but one kind of hits the spot: the software is there to support the business process, not the other way around.

Yep, I'm an evil ABAPer who would not loosen her grip on Z-stuff. :)

Paul takes the cake, as always.

You follow too many people, adding RSS subscription by author one by one will take you a while. I suppose that you could create the OPML file manually and import it into your RSS reader.

I have no idea how well the browser will perform with so many feeds updating - you might need to tweak the settings for simultaneous updates.

I know, this is not exactly what you wish to have and there are some limitations, but it is reliable and you don't need to post in Idea Place to get it working.

      • Aug 09, 2017 at 06:43 AM

why, do proposals in Idea Place take a form somehow?

        • Aug 09, 2017 at 06:50 AM

I avoid Idea Place because it is depressing to look at all these requests being 'on the radar' for months... plus, there is no guarantee that even if an idea is accepted and implemented, that it will correspond to what was requested.

          • Aug 09, 2017 at 06:52 AM

            That's exactly my feeling :)

But in these days i'm pretty depressed and with blue mood so... maybe it's just me
