We'll get used to this one as well

Was going through my old SDN/SCN links, just looking for a specific how-to.... Started clicking around on links and got these ones.... seems we want something back we didn't like as of the beginning.... :). Could have put more but think the picture is clear enough.

Sadly, we have not been getting used to it. Some work arounds exist, but those are very limited and only partially desirable. The lack of follow through on promises (we'll fix after go-live), the lack of transparency, the fixes that no one asked for and that also do not address important issues, and the list goes on and on. What was the point of having the Open Beta testing (which ended over 8 1/2 months ago) if the identified and acknowledged problem were mostly ignored?

No, I do not think we will get used to this situation. I think it naive to believe so after more than 8 months with minor improvements at best.

Mario, thanks for the trip down the memory lane! Actually if we could get the original SDN back, preferably also with the people we had there, I'd be very happy. :)

Come to think of it, even though 2012 migration didn't have as much impact as this one, SAP stepped on the same rake again - make lots of promises and then don't deliver. The only difference that in 2012 it was hit by purely technical issues (the site was simply down for almost days initially) and this time IMHO it's just bad strategy or rather no strategy as I can't really see one.

Totally agree with you. Although we more or less reacted the same (it was way better before :) ), the nature of the issues is not the same, nor the way the issues are handled. And especially this time a lot of contributors are gone, which wasn't the case (or at least not that obvious) in the past... which is a real waste.

I agree with Michael as well about some really annoying issues still not being fixed, and other less important fixed.
