SEARCH page....in case you might be confused

Never really used it before......hmmmm I wonder what this page does.....I think I understand but maybe one or two more mentions on the page would help (and it sure would be nice if I knew which company provided this).....what a "delightful" experience!

uhm that word only appears once on the page and is very small....so it must not be very important.

Everything else is SO gigantic that the smallness projects importance, because it's different.

It's just to avoid confusion with 'random link generator'...

I like how the text with the biggest font is in all caps, SCREAMING at you what to do here. But now I'm intimidated. :(

      Run away, run away!

Now, with the new menu you have to navigate to this page deliberately...

Instead, you have a small search box with very light gray text on white background and a tool-tip.

Yes, I was just searching for that search page for the last few minutes.

    • May 15, 2017 at 08:54 PM

...and if you double click/enter in that box....it takes you to another search screen .....which then says " Can’t find what you're looking for? Click here to search SAP.com" and if you click that, you go to.......another search....what?!?!?!?.....I thought I was searching SAP.com.....confused? Me too!

I wanted to respond to this post with the Xzibit Yo Dawg meme ("heard you like search so we put search on your search..."...you get the idea). Then I remembered I work on the site from which this screenshot is taken.

    It's like

https://answers.sap.com/articles/182498/sapscn-memes-2.html all over again. Can't join the fun, but I can try to laugh...after I get over the depression of the validity of the complaints.

    • 1 times in CAPS
    • its making sure you are on SAP search page (SAP logo and SAP text)
    • its also making sure that SAP using its own HANA DB for search indexing (I am thinking what Google will put on their search page!!!)

Haha! Reminds me back in the days when I had a side-gig in advertisement and not that many people could even afford a PC powerful enough for serious digital photo processing. One guy was complimenting me on the nice Photoshop work I've done for an image in one ad. I did not want to disappoint him, so did not mention we actually used scissors and glue, then scanned the result. :) (I am a bad, bad person...)
