Hi Everyone,
I'm finally caught up from being on vacation for two weeks, and in honor of my being back in full swing, we released an improvement in the profile today. (Well, maybe it's stretching a bit to say it was released in honor of my return. It just feels like a reward for coming back, so I wanted to say that.)
If you look at your own or someone else's user profile, you'll see that the dreaded Show More is gone, and it's been replaced with real, honest-to-goodness pagination! You can see it in this example from Jelena's profile:
So, say it with me: Yay! A small light in the darkness. :-) A small ray of sunshine that will hopefully be followed by more and more as we move forward.
Hope springs eternal, they say.

Hi Audrey,
I like this feature, but I think it could be better if it can scroll back to the top when we click next in the bottom section.
I also hope that this can be implemented to the Blog/Question section for tags content.
Welcome back, Audrey!
Yes, tiny steps in the right direction...
It would have been nicer if there was also some filter introduced with the tabulation... Still, I am curious: what is the deal with the different styles in the profile? Now we have light grey buttons for tabulation, slightly darker gray for Unfollow and Cancel, green for Allow in Communication settings, transparent with blue font for Reset in Newsletter settings...
Looking at profiles like Jürgen's and Vadim's with a huge number of followers and answers, I am wondering if additional buttons for skipping by 10 pages or even 50 would be needed in the future.
How many shades of grey are there? ;)
I can only guess there is either no design guideline or it is not enforced. At first one team implemented some buttons, then another team implemented other buttons and they just picked whatever they wanted. Fresh new designs are coming for the summer season in The SCN Resort collection. Prepare to be dazzled.
I like it! And it absolutly is a present for your return.
Veselina and Donnie already posted some possible improvements I would find helpful, too. Like jumping back at the top of the list after changing the page and having a way of choosing the wanted page or making bigger jumps.
But I hope that after the first big step is made with changing from "MOAR!" to pagination, these refinements can be implemented easier. :)
For the Follower lists a kind of "A - Z" filter would be nice, too. Like in an address book.
Hey,
Thanks for the post and the feedback all!
I put the jumping from the bottom to the top of the content list and the jumping to page X on my ToDo list.
Follower sorting is also on the radar already.
Best,
Gabi (with a dark, dark grey soul)
The same interface look and feel exists on the answers.sap.com/karma page - why not apply the same pagination logic there also? We should have harmonization and UI/UX on the 'platform' and less site specific silos. Thanks!
Too bad there is no view count for the profile, I'd be some sort of celebrity by now. :)
+1 to Steffi's suggestions.
This could be further improved by making the individual items just one line high instead of 3+. More items on a page means less need for pagination and less time wasted on screen refreshes. Improve the signal to whitespace ratio!
One line might be difficult because you'd need to see at least the header + number of comments (or answers) and a date. But this could be totally compressed into two lines with smaller font for the header, without a huge "button" for each item and all the empty white space.
However, considering there seem to be no clear design standard (see my comment above) I'm afraid to even suggest any changes...
nice improvement
looking forward for when the primary tag of the item is included and the ability to filter on that :)
When I saw this first I was surprised and happy that this is really good improvement. Waiting to see same improvements on Bolgs and Questions & Answers pages.

Improvement rolled out: Now you jump to the top of the list when clicking the next button on the bottom of the page ;)
