Awesome message SAP!!! Really???

Talk about communicating!

Now.. if I only knew which one! Some might say who cares? Well, as part of building a community its nice to know who is reading and appreciating your respones. If I know someone regularly closes their questions and accepts the answers, I'm way more likely to put time on a question. But how am I to know that without hunting out every question I replied too?

Ah, you replied with 42, right? (Of course padded up to the inevitable 10 character length.)

  • Mar 02, 2017 at 06:02 PM

LOL, I didn't even notice. :) I guess this is a new bug, the screenshots in this post show a different picture.

Thanks for notifying me with this issue Jelena. I am looking into the issue right away.

    Hello Craig,

This should definitely be showing the question title of where the answer was accepted. I am looking into it right away. I will update you once I learn more.

Sorry for the inconvenience and raising the concern here.

what does your Activity stream for the upvote show that happened along with the acceptance of your answer?

it guess it was your answer to this question:

    • Mar 02, 2017 at 09:37 PM

Craig - since you are a moderator you could also look at your own karma points screen and see the accepted answer by whom (same as the up-voter).

      • Mar 02, 2017 at 10:33 PM

        Jurgen pointed that out.

But should we make everyone a moderator then? Unless this is just a bug for me and no one else.

        • Mar 02, 2017 at 10:47 PM

I think the Karma points should not be so secretive, although in the current model, only moderators have access to the link I shared (a bit hidden because of the gray text...), but this is the same issue with not seeing up-votes, likes, etc.

Activity stream? Really? You know I follow you right?

Jürgen complained one time about my Fiori related posts filling up his activity stream - like teardrops in the ocean...

you know, if you are first in the traffic jam then the traffic jam is not that bad

    Hello Craig,

Unfortunately I may have lost the first attempt at answering this to the "Show more comment" bug!

Anyways, I just tested this case and unfortunately was not able to replicate what you indicated in your post. Could you kindly let me know if you have had any more of your answers accepted after this case? This will help me investigate this issue further.

Vadim reported a similar case here: . However, he indicates that he experienced the correct behavior since this happened.

As it stands, users should be receiving the following notification when they get one of their published answers accepted:

Again, sorry for the inconvenience this may cause Craig. And thanks for reporting the issue and sharing with the community.

Well, it might be awhile before I get another accepted answer! They are a pretty rare thing now-a-days. Getting a question is just a minor miricle!

"Show more comments" = white space and no comments at all. What do I miss in those depth of commenting? :/

    • Mar 03, 2017 at 08:51 AM

Well, seems like a new bug (pressing "Show more comments" leads to a page with only the original posting by Craig and no replies at all) , but I don't think you will "miss" that...)

    • Mar 03, 2017 at 03:50 PM

Those are "alternative comments". :) But really, "button does nothing" is just business as usual on SCN these days. Yawn.

      • Mar 03, 2017 at 05:30 PM

Or maybe there are no more comments and the bug is, that the button link thing is displayed while nothing is there.

"Hide all comments" button is mislabeled as "Show more comments".

It is a crude example of "less is more" philosophy.

        • Mar 06, 2017 at 11:09 AM

Well, if that is the intended meaning, the button itself should not be hidden when pressed - otherwise you can not easily re-display the comments... Currently, you seem to have to refresh the page to get them back.

(I'm not sure one should call all that a "philosophy".)

Let's add DRY (don't repeat yourself) principle to it. No need to re-invent the wheel when universal F5 button does the trick ;-)
