Dealing with blog pollution

Wish you all are safe (and suffocating in the covid-19 era) !

Corona, a godforsaken virus, has made us prisoners of our own homes. However, as nothing is absolute, Corona too has brought many advantages. See the nature around- the animals and birds are rejoicing outside (while we are surviving inside).the air is getting less polluted, the ozone is healing itself, and the waters getting to as they should be.

But, the one noticeable pollution is invincible even in these tough days - Blog pollution.

I see them a lot. Most are indeed valuables, but many are actually futile .Looks like both the kinds are not adversaries, but latter kind is born from the former ones. Many of these futile ones are actually copies-pasted from the valuable ones.

I tried my best to justify (or rather buttress) the existence of these futile copy-pasted blogs, but couldn't . I tried to express my dislikes to them but the blogs have only 'like' buttons.

I am still in the pursuit of understanding what goes in the minds of the blog authors while they actually copy-paste the contents of good ones and know they are adding more to blog pollution.

    Hi, Sumit:

If you see a blog post on this site that plagiarizes from somewhere else, you can click "alert moderator" and leave us a note pointing to the original source.

    Kind regards,

      Thanks Jerry,

      I will do so.

Hitherto I was under impression that this option to report is rude and should be executed only in extreme and rare cases.

        Hi, Sumit:

There's nothing rude about reporting a member who may have stolen someone else's work. Copying content is a violation of our rules of engagement (https://community.sap.com/resources/rules-of-engagement): "The Terms of Use require that all content submitted to SAP Community be original content created by the author or reproduced with the permission of the copyright owner."

So if you find posts breaking that rule, I encourage you to use the "alert moderator" feature.

As already suggested, it will be easy for the Global Moderators if you can share such of those copy-pasted blogs
