I already notice in the past that 'trending' and 'most liked' often share some blogs.
Today I noticed, it's all 3 of them: https://blogs.sap.com/2019/05/03/clean-abap/comment-page-1/#comment-500763
Praise where praise is due, but I think we don't need that kind of double-feature, do we?
-> I'd rather see the next 3 runners up.
May I propose this simple solution: When a blog is in 'most liked', it's ignored for trending.

Hi Joachim,
you're right, it's kind of a double-feature. I'll forward your observation and see what can be done.
Thanks!
Mynyna
Today is the first day I notice a difference again:
By The way: what's the metric for trending?! Something like "new likes, follows and comments in the last X days" I guess?!

I know I wished for such dynamic stuff, but as of now, it is quite boring;
1. Still/Again the same blogs in both categories
2. they are quite old... ("Online Track in May 2020" )?

Mynyna Chau , could you maybe also introduce some time of "make room"-logic for both categories?
Like, if was featured for 4 Weeks, it's taken out of the contest?! (or internal counters are reset) -> So other blogs have a chance of fame and user can discover other much liked + trending blogs?!
thanks!
Joachim
Hi Joachim,
I hear you and have asked my colleagues to look into it again. We'll get back to you on this.
If they continue to show similar results after a change in logic, maybe one of them should be removed...
Best regards
Mynyna
Hey Mynyna,

Thank you!

Oh, that would be very sad! Really, I'd rather have them be mutually exclusive, to avoid the double feature.
As I initially proposed: "When a blog is in 'most liked', it's ignored for trending."

Certainly not. Science fiction double-features only.
