Not here to complain about those advertisements or phishing comments . Just wanted to share the past couple of those that I encountered and were funny :)
The above advertisement is from
https://answers.sap.com/questions/12961161/sap-ui5-page-footer-is-not-displaying.html
Not sure if it considered as a spam, but I reported it anyways. That person just copied an existing answer and commented it by adding the advertisement in the second line :D :D Truly an intelligent ad. SAP should hire them in their marketing depart. :D :D :D JK.
Next one is a phishing comment i guess
I've seen phishing mails till now but this is the first time for me to see a phishing comment :P :D . The only thing they are missing is that I am the winner of 1 Million Dollar draw. I guess I will send a mail to them and see if they will offer me that. I don't want to miss that million :P :D
It seems they used some different tool to post the above comment as I see it multiple times posted in my activity feed but I only found the comment one time, it is very weird. I will post it in the comment as there is a 2 image limitation here, maybe someone from SAP moderation team can find it helpful.
Multiple times posted, but only found one comment.
That's why we need "Alert moderator" button for the whole user profile. You've done the right thing by reporting this, thank you!
"please kindly email me..." must be the lowest effort malicious attempt since the Albanian virus. :)
:D :D Surely it was the lowest :D :D Maybe they are just starting their career as a intern or something :P :D,
They should have changed their comment to "My Organization needs your skills very badly, please kindly email me.." Which would have made it slightly better :D :P
Not picking on a single country...
This is the honesty computer virus. You are now infected. Please delete all the files from your hard drive and over-write all sectors with x00.
Your cooperation is appreciated.
Thanks for bringing these to our attention, Mahesh. I'm going to remove the comments violating rules of engagement, investigate the accounts, and disable any obvious spammers.
We currently have a problem with the mod alerts for Q&A, although blogging alerts work just fine (reported at the top of https://community.sap.com/resources/what-is-new), so I'm glad I noticed your post here. In future, in addition to raising a mod alert, you're welcome to send an email to moderators@sap.com to report any serial spammers.
I think most of us got the "kindly email me" message from "Stephanie." She was nothing if not persistent!
:D It's kind of lame to post such comments in technical blogs/websites, targeting the wrong audience (we are tech. people for a reason) :D :D.
It's called the "shotgun" strategy. You blast out as many as you possibly can, knowing that 99% of them will fail, but if you send out 100,000 messages, and 1% of them get a response, that's still a thousand victims for you to steal money or identities from.
Judging from the content of some posts in the Q&A part of the site, the audience is just right...
I didn't. I feel neglected. I thought this place was supposed to be inclusive. :-(
Okay, I recently saw this crazy hyper intelligent marketing spam, for a second I thought it was true ;p :D
It's a real good one, I have to give it to them. They combined the blog content and spam together, making it very realistic
PS: I reported it and it was deleted.
Wow, I read the whole comment and thought he was genuinely looking for this information :) then I closed and opened again the link to just check in case if it is spam and opened the resources link to find out its not just spam, it's an intelligent spam :D :D
And I hope you alerted it Mahesh Kumar Palavalli ?
Thank you,
Svea
