SAP TechEd 2019 Las Vegas is over but is everyone ready for Barcelona?

figured that this weekend is the last one i could ask a few questions that could be wrapped into one, so after a sip, here goes it:

  1. how is the upcoming event different from the one that has just passed?
  2. what's unique for this upcoming location since LV is no more and not coming back any time soon?
  3. i realize there is a different dynamic in Europe than it is in the USA, but what exactly is it?
  4. has anyone been to both and care to share their thoughts here?

in any event, enjoy the show when you are there.

Usually the events will have the same sessions, but some times different speakers.

At Barcelona, the bloggers/analysts will be there (mostly they were not in Las Vegas)

I don't have any inside knowledge, but I do expect the keynote to be different

And the online interviews will be different too.

      Hi Tammy,

if your predictions turn out true in the upcoming week, it's going to be an event worth watching from afar.

In the Keynote in Las Vegas, Juergen Mueller mentions there would be more information surrounding S/4HANA in Barcelona, so any important announcements could change the dynamic of the conversations on the Show Floor I guess?

Also, I heard some statements that the audience is a bit more oriented to the Functional Side in Vegas, compared to Barcelona and Bangalore, but I don't know really ...

This is going to be my first TechEd, so I'm excited and I hope to see some of you people there!

    Kind regards

    Nic T.

      Hi Nic,

it's probably too late to start any serious planning, but in my experience of attending 4 TechEds, it helps to know up front what you are going to see and do sanity checks with your fellow attendees as i have always learned something new and interesting. this year, eg i enjoyed the hands-on on missions on the showfloor more than in the classrooms, probably because they were more self-explanatory and less process driven, but that was just me.

please come back here and share your impressions with your fellow SAP Coffee sippers.

        Thanks for the valuable suggestion.
I made use of the Session Agenda on the TechEd 2019 Website an its integration with the TechEd-App to Reserve some Hands-On Sessions. That way, I can keep Focus on the most interesting Subjects for me …

        Best regards
        Nic T.
