I saw this today and really liked it!

I was doing some online training for some software I need to learn and they had the following quote:

A trained customer is a happy customer and a happy customer is a loyal customer.

Regardless if our customers are internal or external this makes a lot of sense and underlines why it is so important to provide and receive training.

Think about how unhappy some people are when they post questions that should have been addressed by training. They are generally unhappy, usually angry, and the ones that complain how much the product / service does not provide results.

Just a thought for the day.

Cheers!

This is a great quote and I will borrow it shamelessly. In IT world, this translates to "trained/educated user is a happy user and a happy user does not open support tickets needlessly". :) Granted, there are always people who just want to complain and have others do everything for them but majority is not like that. People want to be self-sufficient and independent because it's empowering and it opens the doors to further learning.

That is great. One of the biggest gaps in the company that I work for is the training gap. Very little emphasis, time or budget is spent on training. I'm going to print out this quote and post it on my wall at work.
