Mission assignment does not work?

I passed that Q&A stuff some 2 days ago and nothing happens... I got a strange feeling that the technology behind the forum is only getting worse even after 2 years since it was relaunched?

Do we have statistics on the number of daily postings to match for example 2016 with 2018 and 2019?

I am following some 6-7 topics and it is hardly 2-3 daily updates.

How can we make SAP forum great again? :)

    I don't know if daily posting is a good indicator for a "great" forum. For example SO has a lot of daily posting but almost 3/4 of the daily posting are duplicates that can already be found somewhere. Because for me a forum is where people can get help from others on certain problems, but of course over time I think it should be normal to have less daily posts since most basic problems that everyone has at the start are already solved and the solution is already provided.


    As for what makes a great forum for me is just the people that are active on the forum. For example I have been on forums where if you posted a question as a new person and you forgot 1 thing or posted in a wrong tag or something like that the active people would attack you verbally.
    While on other forums the active people would be genuinely nice and provide a good answer with a note at the end of hey i saw you did this but next time its better to do that.

    So for me how to make SAP forum great again, just be nice, help where you can and people will be more willingly to visit the forum again :).

    Hi Paolo,

    Are you referring to completing the Q&A Savvy tutorial? Tutorial badges are awarded once a week, as described here: "Awarded on a weekly basis, Q&A Savvy may not appear immediately in the Reputation section of your profile, so please expect a slight delay before you see the badge."

    So if that was what you were referencing, you should see that badge on your profile by early next week the latest.

      You are absolutely right about the next week update.

      Please, let me know where/whom to report forum bugs?

      I do believe there is a bug for the reputation showcase. As the new SCN took a bit different approach with badges, every badge upgrade takes away a previous badge for those serial badges with stars. It apparently leads to some dead links. Imagine I had a badge on my showcase that was removed, so nothing is now loading at all... Neither I can edit it manually, as it is completely blocked.

        Hi Paulo,

        Yes, the new model for earning progression missions is to replace the previous badge with the newly earned badge in the progression, instead of showing all of them.

        We do know there is a limitation in the way the badge showcase handles this. There is a simple workaround, however, which is to go ahead and remove all of your badges from your showcase and save it that way. That will re-initialize the showcase and it will default to showing the most recent 5 badges you earned. Then you will be able again to select the specific badges you wish to display there.

    Hi Paulo,

    I try to look at Q&A and blogs when I get a chance. I find myself working at work sometimes too much to get it.

    So community great - I think everyone has a different answer. My is similar to Sven. It's the people. If we get people responding, blogging, creating questions, or even here in coffee corner, that's what's great to me.

    As for the technology - yes it can be a barrier. But it really doesn't stop me. To me it's just a minor problem. The bigger problem is getting people to be active. I think there is a divide between people who have moved to HANA and those that haven't. Want another divide on-premise vs. the cloud. So we actually need MORE people to help out with a variety of different questions.
