Just noticed (thanks to that apparently, I made exactly 300 blog comments as of now:

I'm more surprised by the fact, that you can still access that page. ^^ Because you really shouldn't. *on the todo list*

      Hi Steffi,

I can agree that maybe I should not be able to use that wp-admin link, but when closing it down, please not that it's the current "solution"/workaround for the “Your-Comment is awaiting Moderation”-bug!

So from my (user, who likes to comment and use links, and have the comments visible to others) point of view the best sequence would be:

      1. solve the bug

      2. THEN close down the wp-admin link, if that needs to be...

      • Feb 06, 2017 at 09:39 AM

I'm just a humble user myself, I have no hand in changing the permissions of the link or fixing the bug. Just stated the obvious. ;)

But I know this was brought to the attention of the SCN team and it's planned to do something about it, because you can do quite a lot of harm via that page.

Now I remember another feature on the same *todo* list: re-introducing tag maintenance from own blogs list page (which was available during Open Beta and disappeared with the go-live). Looking at the huge list of hard to find blogs in (over 3000 pages), I think it is about time to address this problem.

And now you are expecting a trophy for that? How very Millennial. :)

    Oh, this stupid awaiting-moderation-bug!
Ran into it yet again, and found that yet another comment of my was waiting, too.

Mine are all released now, but I do wonder how many "pending" Blog-Comments er hidden in the system....

    What's a Staus Update ?

    • Feb 09, 2017 at 03:12 PM

"Staus" is the plural of the German word for "traffic jam", so that's kind of a traffic announcement, methinks - probably related to Joachim's struggle with comments awaiting moderation.

Wow! And this appeared in my notifications!!

        • Feb 10, 2017 at 04:35 PM

Hello Richard, anytime anyone publishes a "comment" on any of your posts (blogs, questions, answers, comments, discussions) you will receive a notification.

Dr.Staus was the first to identify the SCN Nostalgia Syndrome that manifests itself in repeated reminiscing about the features that used to be available on SCN before October 2016. [Staus Update] (frequently misspelled [Status Update] ) signifies a quick update from the SCN members who are in denial that SAP Community is a world class website that has all the functionality one could possibly need and is good for you.

      • Feb 09, 2017 at 04:22 PM

Oops, did not know that! - So did he also diagnose that SCN did not accidentally absorb the 5th character from you discussion titles, compared to the current community?

      • Feb 09, 2017 at 04:27 PM

Well, to stop all these SCN conspiracy theories:

SAP Community is great and innovative: Did you even know it has a crowd-based, intercontinental spell checking facility? - See, it's even better than AI!

        • Feb 09, 2017 at 05:14 PM

Yep, we take "A" out of "AI"! Fine community-sourced artisan-grade spelchekur FTW!

Edit: on a more serious note - we seem to need spell checker badly

          • Feb 09, 2017 at 09:31 PM

So the "silently absorbing nth character of title text" bug has shown, again...)

However, that accoring answer points to a wiki but does link to it. Hm.

Apparently, I care for numbers more than for letters, so I didn't even notice that my [Status Update] is missing a t! :-|

I do like Volkers explanation as well! ;-)
