Happy Friday!
Today I wanted to do a test with the participants of the new SCN, because I always read the same people in this new "community" that gave us the biggest erp in the world.
I think "this same people" are all moderators, or mentors, or ex-mods, or ex-mentors, or employees of SAP, or addicts to the old community (as in my case).
But unfortunately the "new" change they made has discouraged me from following the debates, or continuing to instruct me by participating. Now I'm a ghost reading from the shadows.
-----
The test; YOUR TURN
Of the universe of people who continue to participate actively (even if the site does not work as we want, and there are many errors still unresolved), can they respond to this debate ONCE? I mean, can you respond here ONCE?
----
This would serve to keep a count of who the active users are. I am not a moderator, nor do I have access to analytics of the new community, so doing a "manual" survey would give me an idea.
Whether or not you participate in this test, thank you for reading and for your understanding.
Happy weekend!
ha ha ha - "can they respond to this debate ONCE?" I am curious who will be the first breaking this goal
ONCE
ONCE
ONCE
My case, category 'addicts of the old community'.
I'll write more than 10 caracters! :-)
Edit: oh, but I'm sure not everyone active on Sap.Com is also aware of / unsing / redaing coffee corner.
-> You'll have to take that into accout when counting.
(for years I have been using old SCN without ever touching (certainly not writing in) Coffee-Corner!)
Hi Osvaldo - I will reply ONCE, but let you know that I identify with 3 of the characteristics (not in order or rank, because first and foremost I am a community member): moderator, employee of SAP, addict to the old community.
I cannot respond only ONCE. Happy Friday.
Responding once!!
My once...
Frustrated Community member and moderator.
But check back with me next month... Both of those could change...
Mod of a dead forum and about-to-be ghost (assuming SCN continues on its way down the gutter). Have a nice weekend nevertheless :)
ONCE (will padding to exceed 10 characters)
ONCE... twice... three times a laaaaady. :)
ONCE addicted to the old community.
Beep!
Not sure if this make sens - not all user visit the coffee corner.
BTW: I never new the coffee corner exist before the switch to the new Sap Community...
You can count me also :)
Present Sir :)
I belong to category 'addicts to the old community'. Mostly just a reader. :-)
ONCE
Checking in - ONCE! :-)
I'm in! ONCE.
I'm responding once as tempting as it is to banter with everyone else
I'm unsure why it's impossible for you to count unique? It's not as though the volume of participation is up there.
I am impressed that the group who worship a goat are following your instructions.
Like Jurgen, I wonder who breaks it and what comment is posted that makes them unable to resist breaking the request? Anyone, wanna comment ;)
ONCE ONCE ONCE
Must. Not. Comment. More. Than. ONCE. Gnar... this is torture!
ONCE upon a time, there was a community and it was called SCN...
Okay count me in once
Frustrated on many counts, but probably the biggest is a lack of comprehension of how the community worked previously and why it was successful.
Only responding once.
Neither moderator, mentor, nor SAP employee. I guess that makes me an addict.
Topic Leader in Crystal Reports and Crystal for Visual Studio until this new and so-called "improved" platform. I just don't track it as consistently as I did the old forums.

Once upon a time I could control myself
Once upon a time I could lose myself
Oh try and mimic, what's insane
I am in it, where do I stand?
Once - that's the name of a great Eastern Canadian folk music group: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bfkzKHeoBY
ONCE and still frustrated with the new design
Once - ex-mentor and loved the old community. Not a lot of time on my hands to try to figure out this one yet.
Hi Osvaldo,
You got me to comment once :)
I have blogged on the platform and answered (not commented ;) on some questions and disappointed by the functionality of the site. However I have time to wait for a better experience as I get more out of a SAP Community site (if I find the material!) than I have put in. As your thread is collecting unofficial user statistics, it does remind me of the time I collected my own stats from the old SDN site (pre the Jived up SCN ;)). Something I am impressed about is the world wide nature of the site. It is global in reach and my contributions from England can reach a worldwide audience and I can interact with other members from other countries. So I am going to take the opportunity to mention Belarus , the top country in my collection of stats here . And long may we all stay and take part in this community wherever we are in the world.
Cheers
Robert
Getting enough stuff coming through on ABAP to feed my megalomania and OCD.
Another one addicted to the old community.
'Hiding other members’ karma credit from public display encourages quality contributions over quantity, and lessens competition.'
I think this sums up, why no one uses the new SCN. It's like a really bad SO.
Having your contribution and participation recognized might nurse the SCN back to health.
Hi Jakob,
that's a very interesting perspective.
Are you suggesting removing points from the SCN has reduced contributor activity ?
This was never the goal or the intention but can possibly be an indirect result.
Andy.
A month later, only 34 people have responded to this debate. And 15 are normal people (I mean, they are not moderators, or mentors, o SAP employees).
339 views (among which are mine). :Shock_emoji:
I can not mark this topic as closed. Please, can any moderator in this section do it?
Thanks.
Regards!
Hello,
what's the prize :-)
Andy.
howdy howdy
ONCE
Hello there ;-)
Count me, in case the survey is still open.
