SAP BW - Master Data Delta Load

Hi Gurus,

We did a master data enhancement and planning to move the changes to production.

We are using as delta load in BW can someone, please help us on the cut over activities to be perform before moved the changes to ECC Prod.

Do we need to clear the queue?? Like we do in 2LIS_11_VAITM??

Speaking of master data, Cut Over activities depend on the changes you made.

If you only added attributes, it is just a matter of importing the changes to production and loading the new data. If it is a delta load, the new field will begin to fill little by little.

If you modified existing attributes (for example, data type change) you must validate that these attributes are not used in cubes/ADSO so that you can import your changes. If it exists in a cube/ADSO, you must first delete the content of the cubes to be able to import the changes (due to SIDS management issues).

Thanks alot for the answer @Oscar_Alberto We just added an extra field and populating the data using code in CMOD. So no need to locking the users in production like we do for 2lis extractors?? And no queue RSA7 clearance activity right??? My master data datasource is a delta one

I don't see the need to block users but I do see the need to debug the delta queue in RSA7 before importing the changes to production.
