This blog post is part of a series called “Tip of the Week”.

Driving license, license to practice medicine, to fly planes, or carry a gun … when lives are on the line we refer to licensing very strictly. And when it comes to software? Using a licensed software ensures that your business is using the software legally, and purchasing the right number and type of licenses allows all the users to work efficiently. So, yes - using a licensed software is highly important and so is being aware of it. This is why whenever a user logs in to SAP Business One, the license information is automatically displayed at the right bottom corner for two minutes (unless you click the logo and it disappears immediately):

Ok, so you know it is there, but what if you don’t want to see it every time you log on? Well, this is up to you. In the Users - Setup window a new checkbox enables you to set your preference:

The checkbox is selected by default, showing the license info at every login. If you deselect the checkbox, license info will not appear the next time you log on to SAP Business One (but you can always view it by clicking the logo, or change your setting at any time).

Available in SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2011 and SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2011, version for SAP HANA.

I hope you found this information helpful and as always, I’m looking forward to your feedback in the comments section below. Hi Ari,

Thank you for this tips.

We're using SAP Business One V10 and unfortunately the check box is not displayed on web browser and Heavy Client.

Hi,

When we check this option on Browser now Check box is available. But when user log in Through Browser still it shows the license information. Where user manually need to click and make it close, as this message keep open it's bit of a disturb to end user.

Version 10.00 SP2311.

Dear @PrageethMP ,

I'm afraid this functionality is not supported by Browser Access. For additional information, you may refer to this blog: https://community.sap.com/t5/enterprise-resource-planning-blogs-by-sap/sap-business-one-the-future-o...
